I have an entry on my experian report that has said 'account is in dispute' in the status field for more than 2 months. shouldnt this be deleted by CRA? doesnt this mean that when I disputed it the CA never came back and told them if it was legit or not? It doesnt even give a date as to when it will be gone. all of the other items on my experian report give a date.
i have three tradelines with equifax that say consumer disputes that have been there for 4 months now...
wow, it has said 'in dispute' since january..good thing i kept that print-out. too bad they verified it on TU and EQ i just did another dispute for it online and put 'this has been in dispute more than 30 days, please remove it per the FCRA'
id like to send EX a nasty letter and get this item removed instead of just relying on the online dispute again. However I do not have the original dispute info (because I did it online). I see the example letters in the forum, but they all assume I have written documents to backup the disputes that were made. Would a letter that just says 'this has been in dispute since January 2002, according to the FCRA , section blah blah, etc..it should have been either removed for lack of validation , or updated as verified within 30 days of the original dispute.' sound good?
