OK.. I did 4 disputes on for accounts stating that they are not mine (These are very old and I know for a fact they are not mine) anyhow I did this online but I didn't find anything appropriate to print for proof that I initiated this today... I can't seem to go back now . am I screwed? if so I will just hope for the best.. if not does anyone know how on the equifax website I can print out proof?
If you're talking about Experian, it's simple. Just log back in through www.experian.com . Click on request investigation, click continue, fill out your personal information, click through general terms, and then click on "potenially negative items". There you will see your derog accounts. Any account that you placed "in dispute" will be highlighted in blue and will say "This item is currently being investigated" or something similar. Print this page. The print will show the tradeline shaded (with non-color printer) or in blue with color printer, plus at the bottom will be todays date. That way, you now have proof that you disputed online today, and that they have 30 days from today to investigate and produce results. As far as EQ goes, I think you need to print the dispute/confirmation page before you log out. But I'm not sure. Been a while since I've done it.
