I disputed with EX around January and of course it came back verified. I sent req for procedures 3 times over the past few months because they kept saying they need more information. I also sent the CA two val. requests, but they never answered. Today I look online and notice 2 of the 3 TL's have been deleted, but 1(My last) remains and was verified 5/2004. Under the status line it says "no status". What does that mean? My question is, what do I do now? The CA verified without validation. Their corporate status is suspended, if that helps. As always, thanks to CN'ers for all the help
ive always wondered if this status on experian makes FICO ignore it in its formulation of a number. I think its similar to NOT RATED. does it factor into utilization? prolly not does it factor into age? maybe does it factor into mix? maybe id love to know the answers... bugman
A few years ago, I had and account that began being reported "No Status" after I disputed with Experian. I called them for an explanation and was given some BS crap. I demanded that the account be removed while I was on the line...it was. In my case, it was a collection account. I never contacted the CA, I just disputed as soon as it popped on my reports. I think the "No Status" mark means the CRA received your dispute, sent it to the furnisher, waited for a response, and received something similar to this: Dear CRA, We have cannot actually verify SLOYAROLE's current address, SSN or DOB. However, here is the address we have for him when we were assigned (or purchased) this account. Sincerely, Collection Agent I think No Status has to do with the CA not being able to verify current info sent on Experian's UDF (I have a copy of one). It asks the furnisher to verify your current info and then asks for a response within 5 days and lists your dispute "word for word" as you sent it. The furnisher has the option respond to that dispute or request the info be deleted. When they give Experian old addresses or employment info, this means to them, "yeah it's you, they just can't find you". That's why it's important to have previous addresses and old employment info removed from our reports.
I called EX and they said that the status on it is collection account. So I guess I'm just gonna have to go after the CA for ver w/o val. I just have to find the laws. Thanks
So I sue them under FDCPA 809??? Is that right? I could not find anything in the FDCPA that talks about what happens when CA's violate laws. thanks in advance
The CA verified without validation want800 =============== 1000 and 1000 more if they didn't mark disputed.
I had an account that said No Status and disputed that No Status was not accurate reporting and got a deletion.
^^^^I'll try that and see what happens. What section do I sue under for verification without validation, if I have to sue? Bump for more info. Thanks Everyone!!!
