I just called to try to delete all of my old addresses, and I got the fastest talking agent on the planet! As soon as I asked about addresses (mind you, I never mentioned the word delete), she said, "we can't delete addresses you've actually lived at." Okay, so I corrected the ones that were a mishmash of old addresses, and deleted a Paytrust.com address, but that's it. Should I try calling again next week and hope I get get a different agent, or is this something new that EX is doing? Anyone else have the same problem?

You "SHOULD" be able to get rid of old addresses...

All they MUST have is a current address and a previous address...and maybe the one before that!!!

But if you live at home with your parents...and they lived at the house from DAY ONE OF YOUR LIFE...YOU WOULD NEVER HAVE A "PREVIOUS" ADDRESS!!!

Just wait a few days and call back. Tell them you never lived at address XYZ. Don't explain it or go in to it any more. Nice, simple, quick.

    Mail it in...Always works.

pnwman's right. Just call back and tell them it's incorrect - you never lived there. They'll delete it immediately. And remember...who you speak with at these companies is luck of the draw. Just draw again.

I called them at 1-888-972-5722 and got addresses, wrong name spellings, old employees & telephone #s deleted with no trouble. I said they were invalid. Sometimes it just depend who you get on the line.

A while back when I first started this *journey* of cleaning up my credit, the first thing I did was call in and dispute my *old addresses*. Just said, I co-signed on a note for someone years ago, and still have their pay record showing up on my credit file, along with THEIR address. Just asked them to remove it, and that was it! A done deal.....

    Hope this helps!

Wow, thanks for all the tips! :) I'll call back next week and hope I get someone who doesn't interrupt me mid-sentence.
