Experian CR: Status: Account charged off/Past due 150 days. $5,xx0 written off. $900 past due as of 10-2001. Status Details: The account is scheduled to continue on record until 4-2008.This item was verified and updated on 9-2002. Date Opened: 01/1998 Reported Since: 01/1998 Date of Staus: 10/2001 Last Reported: 10/2001 Type: Revolving Terms: NA Monthly Payment: $0 Responsibility: Individual Credit Limit/Original Amount: $x,1x0 High Balance: $5,xxx Recent Balance: $5,xx0 as of 10/2001 Recent Payment: $235 Your Statement: Account information disupted by consumer (Meets requirement of the Fair Credit Reporting Act) 1. The past due of $900 is STILL reflecting in the 'current debt' formula. WHY? 2. The $900 is STILL reflecting in the 'amount past due (still owed) formula. WHY? 3. AND, the account is STILL being reported in the 'Now delinquent/degrogatory accounts'. WHY? Since the OC charged it off, and a settlement was paid on the account, this account SHOULD not being in the 'Amount past due(still owed)' and the 'revolving debt(bank and retail cards)' formula, right? The OC sent me a letter stating, 'after reviewing our files, we cannot clearly determine your responsibility for the account.' I faxed a copy of this letter along with a procedure letter to experian an awaiting response. The 'wording' remains the same; before & after the dispute, could 'inaccurate' info be disputed in the next round? Did I do this right? Feedback or input please.
