    Hello Everyone,

This board is awesome. Thanks for all the great faq's and threads. I haven't been able to find a thread for my situation so here it is:

I am finally returning back to work after two long stints of unemployment. I have 2 closed CCs with 5k balances on each (both current), which I expect to pay off in 2 - 3 years. In the meantime I have 2 150 days and quite a few 30's and such on them. I am trying to clean up my score. I've pulled all 3 reports and they are on all.

Most of the threads seem to be about handling CA's as opposed to original creditors. Do you think the Goodwill Letter approach will be effective here, should I wait until these accounts are paid off before sending the Goodwill letter, or is there some other approach to getting these lates removed?

Anyone ever hear of a 2150 day late? I haven't.

it says 2 150 days late.

i would not recommend sending a goodwill letter on these debts since they remain unpaid. HOWEVER, i would make certain that the accounts reflect pays as agreed/never late as a contingency of my paying.

1* I saw that after I posted but by then it was to late to edit.
    2*Sounds good to me.

In 2-3 years, your lates will not be much of a factor in your FICO score. You can go after them, but you may actually lower your score by losing the history.
