    Hello All,

Hope you are having a good start to your Monday on a short week. I have a question regarding the experian investigation as it relates to the address information on file.

I called experian today and filed dispute on several addresses that appeared on my report. Now, when I see the report, those addresses say "This item is currently under investigation" under each one of them.

I was under an an impression that addresses, if disputed, get deleted right away. Are you aware of any formal/legal validation for the addresses? Meaning, if they found out that I lived on one of the addresses that I disputed, will they not delete it?

There is one address where I lived as shared accomodation temporarily. I do not want that to appear on my report as it just increases the number of entries.

Has any one disputed the addresses and have to wait till n number of weeks to get them deleted?

    Thanks.

I don't have any experience with addresses, but from everything I've read on here, they either deleted them immediately or told them they wouldn't delete them at all. What kind of investigation are they going to do on an address? I guess maybe they want to check with the creditor that reported that address.

I thought that could be the case. But if the account was originally reported from, let us say, Addr1, and then the address changed to addr2, and the creditor obviously was informed of the address change, then would'nt the creditor report the latest address?

I don't know about EX but EQ deleted them when I phoned and told them they were outdated. I had an updated report in my mailbox within three days, with the old addresses removed.

I can attest to this as well. Check back in 2 hours they'll be gone. Mine were within a hour.
