I checked my CR today and there was an inquiry from 2/14/01 still on. So I called to dispute by phone ans was transferred to "special services" I gues this is where the CSR's that have been issued a brain work ~ She told me that inquiries are "supposed" to stay on for 25 months but that since it was close to that time she would "do me the favor" and delete it. I felt like reading her the FCRA, which I had in front of me, but since she was deleting I let it go. These people refuse to delete a misspelled variant of my name and a whole other bunch of inaccurate information and absolutely refuse to abide by the FCRA on many things so I guess to them it was a real favor.
I had the same experience with them once. Only the term "favor" surfaced once I actually started to quote from the FCRA. Real generous, aren't they? P.S. I like your username. Reminds me of the homeland.
