Never mind. I see now. On the experian report they sent to your proc. request, it said for Maine residents. I learned something today. Apparently, they don't have 30 days for maine res. only 21 days. No wonder I had it listed as being due to come back on the 29th, and they had it listed as the 21st. Hmmm, sorry about the confusion!!
No problem. They aren't trying to be clear anyway, and are really only rephrasing the law they are required to follow. I would suggest that you do some research into what your state laws are regarding credit reporting and debt collection. Some states have somewhat stricter rules than what federal law requires.
I looked it over, but to be honest, I just skimmed it. I guess I need to read further! I have all 3 CRA's on violations with this 21 day rule!
