After getting a couple COs deleted from my EXP, I now have 0 tradelines (I have no credit cards, loans, or anything. I couldn't even get a checkcard 3 months ago). I do have about 9 inquiries, but, essentially no credit. What kind of score does that produce?

I guess I could pay the fee, but if anyone knows, I'd appreciate hearing it here first.

I believe no credit produces no score. You may want to try to get someone to co-sign something for you or get a secured card. Maybe get yourself as an authorized user on someones card but PLEASE make sure they pay on time as a rule. If not , you could really get screwed. Building credit takes time and the score reflects how long you have had credit so do not expect ontime payments to be enough to get a good score right away. This will take time. But in a year or so try to apply for a department store card, pay on time and then in two or three years try for a Gold card. Hope this helps.

I forgot the most important thing. Look on millcbs.com for info about what creditors may use what CRA. Apply for cards that only check the accounts that you have solid credit on. Then ask them what agency they report to. Secured card will probably report to all three. Same with some student loans. The trick is to make sure whatever credit you get goes on the Experian report but you have to ask.

    Thanks Diane.
I kind of figured that was the case.
But, I wanted to be sure.
