I recently got my EXPERIAN report, and it said the following, 7 public records, and 50 accounts with negative information, and 26 accts in good standings, i did a mass dispute, and 30 items got deleted, all judgements, as well, but I still have 27 negative items left, which I am systematically getting rid of, by settlement, and what not, my question is, did the removal of 30 items that were negative help my credit score in any way????? Especially since all judgements got deleted? Any help will be helpful.

What exactly is a mass dispute? Please explain. Congrats on your results.

well, by a mass dispute, I mean, I told experian that I thought I had a mixed file, and that essentially made them delete all information that did not match my personal info EXACTLY, I mean if a creditor did not have my ssn, like many collection agencies dont, they have to remove it, even if it is accurate, b/c it is not 100 percent verifible, and if they dont have my dob, then they have to remove it, even if they have the ssn, I got all my judgements deleted, b/c the courthouse does not keep ssn's....see where I am going...even though all the info was mine.....it could not be 100 percent verified, so they had to delete it. To my knowledge only experian does this, equifax wont...for example, I had 3 bad checks from Mercantie Systems, and NDC check services, and they had to remove them b/c they had no ssn for me....well I disputed almost everything I knew I'd probably to be able to get away with and it came back 30 deleted.....how do you think this affects my credit score???considering I still have 20 neg items left, but 27 positives?

    Arthur,

First of all, don't get your hopes up. But, you should be proud of the work you have done so far. You still need to be patient and keep on pushing forward. A true timeline of credit restoration takes at least 2 years. But sometimes it happens faster.

Be also aware, that even though an item gets deleted, it can be returned. So check your reports every 6 months for this.

You have 27 positive entries? What kinds of lines are they and for how much?

    Peace,

    Barry

Several of the trade lines were for installment loans that i paid off some time ago, they reported as never late/paid in full, plus all of my current credit cards, totalling about 10,000 total ex, exxon/qvc/providian/associates/firstusa/sterling bank&trust/fncb/american express optima....plus my utilities report as paying as agreed, b/c I contacted the elec. co, and sprint pcs, and they agreed to add a positive trade...I don't have 27 accounts, but it appears that some accounts are listed more than once, so I will leave them alone, as long as they are positive.

Way to go Arthur! Very encouraging. Keep us posted on your results and any additional techniques that work for you. I have had some luck so far (about 30% of the bad has come off) but it gets very discouraging at times.
    Regards,
    Steve

What your saying is, all of it is legit, but you managed to work the system to remove it?....

As much as I rally for the little guy against big brother, it's those like you who escape on a technicality that make it worse on everyone else...
