Who has been successful getting duplicate reports (creditor and CA) corrected with Experian? Did you dispute online? snail mail? phone? and how many rounds did it take? What reason did you use? Please help!

I dont know if I can be much help but I did online disputes with experian and duplicates came right off. But on the other hand I have done online disputes with Trans Union and they verified it. I dont know how that happened but they did. Then on the next report I got it did not show up so I guess it is gone for now. Just have to wait and see I guess.

Lets see... I had- rather HAVE- a duplicate of one account, but both are from the original creditor... they refuse to investigate and delete the one with the wrong account number. I had -rather HAVE- a duplicate of another count... both showing the same lates- they updated one by saying it was a lost or stolen card - BULLSHIT... In other words, I have had NO luck getting off duplicates, but they were not CC +CA duplicates... Sorry, probably not alot of help.

Casper when you disputed Experian online and duplicates came right off, which account did you dispute (org cred, CA, or both)? What reason did you give? (duplicates accts?). Now here's an odd question do you recall which part of the month it was when you disputed(first, middle, last)?

Well I disputed a duplicate judgement that they had down for me and I did both at once. Both dropped off. Plus I had one account that had one line for the original creditor plus two lines for two seperate collection agancies. I went for broke and disputed everything at once and the original came off and so did one of the collection agencies. I had done 8 disputes at one time and I had 4 judgements come off and the 2 duplicates, 1 was still being reviewed, and 1 verified. So not bad for 6 out of 8 in one shot. I dont think I would recommend doing that though. Since I have only disputed once with experian I know exactly when it was. It was the first part of the month.

Casper thank you! One more question...what reason did you give for the original creditor and the 2 collection agencies? (duplicates or not accurate)
