I just finsihed disputing my husbands CR online and I checked Friday and the results were Updated Remains Remains But it is now Thurday and I have not gotten the e-mail they promised to send when the results are in. They are supposed to send some sort of code so I can view the details. Is there a time frame is which they must respond to this. I cannot call because it is my husbands CR. Thanks Diane
I am confused. Didn't you just state in the first part of your post that you got the results - updated, verified , verified?? But then you are asking when you will get the results??? They have 30 days to do an investigation.
How did you dispute? Not mine? Never late? Lately, no one has been getting the notfication they were told to expect by Experian.
When you do a dispute online you get a one-word message like "remains" or "deleted" (My personal fav) when the investigation is concluded . But you cannot view how your credit report actually appears and how something was "updated" etc until they send you a two didget code to view things in more detail. It is an alternative to being sent a paper copy of the details in the mail.
You only get that 'wording' when you get the results. You did not get the email??? I cannot tell if you got the email or not. Did you hack? LOL
I got results email dated 5PM yesterday for an item that was changed when I checked my report in the AM yesterday. I got five alert emails dated today for inquiries that happened between 8/14 and now. I don't know if it was a problem with my email or theirs, but I am guessing by the late dates that it's them.
You only get that "wording" when you get the results? Then what is the deal with the code they are supposed to send me via e-mail to get the investigation results? Do I actualy have to order another damn report from them just to see how it has been changed? That cannot be right! I am so sick of sending money to them. UGG
Ignore my previous post. I figured out how you saw the 'updated' and 'remains'. Maybe I should have just asked you??? ) Normally, I see that ('updated' and 'remains') on the confirmation letter they mail but apparently you logged in as if you were starting an investigation or checking on one and saw the remarks thatta way. Am I correct?
Yes thats right I clicked the "checking your investigation" link. The link below it is the one where you get the "Results"
You can use the fact that they are in violation b/c they have not notified you of the results of the investigation within the 5 days specified in the FCRA or, you can assume they did not investigate at all therefore having to oblige to whatever you wanted changed/deleted per the dispute as their 30 days to investigate are up or, you can ask for a procedure description or, you can redispute.
I've disputed many times with EXP and have only gotten an email from them twice. I normally keep checking the status online. BTW...you mentioned something about having to keep paying for a new report. You should be able to view an updated report for 90 days for free.
Hmmm How can I access my report? I thought you could only view it online for 6 days or something like that at Experian.
I just received email notification this morning of my deletiont that happened about 30 days ago...the suck with those emails though.
Tracy Thanks so much!!! Your suggestion worked!!! If I never get the e-mail I could care less now. The trick is to click on the investigation link NOT the "Check the results of my investigation"to retrieve the results. So backward. I also signed up for creditexpert for hubby but I am having a little trouble withthe graphics being kind of jumbled. Here we go with Tech support again. thanks again. Diane
