Can some one guide to a post for the fax # for Experian and Trans Union. I have looked and looked and getting really frustrated with the search system. I need to have a tax lien that was filed in error( yes, I have a letter) removed ASAP! Thanks Kara
General rule of thumb...found this out at a consumer advocacy forum... Do NOT fax a dispute (any type/kind) unless you are invited. To make a dispute fax "effective", you should state something like..."a CSR named Jane Doe at extension 1234 told me to fax this information regarding my dispute"... If you don't introduce or justify the nature for sending the fax...it will be "less effective"...("less effective" can mean a bunch of things)... Long story, short....send it in via CRRR unless invited to fax.
