I recently bought my Experian cr online. I paid $9 for it since I didnt see a real point to paying extra just to see a score that was hideously low. My question, is that $9 Experian report access just good for ONE DAY? Do I have to do their cried watch or manitoring service or at least buy it with the score to get 30 days access or should I get a month access with the $9 report. And does anyone have an Experian 800 number that will actually reach a human? I tried to dispute some addresses online fromn the report I got a few days ago. have the experian cr number and when I tried to dispute online it said it couldnt process and shot out this number 800-311-4769. this number ws useless since most of the prompts were just wanting to sell me another report or other pointless links to services I had no need for. It was telling me to dispute I needed a report sent from their processing center. I even tried to fake the automated system out by saying I had one (even tho mine came from experians online site), but I still couldnt reach a human for anything. Do these people EVER answer the phone?? any alternative number anyone have that will at least be easier to trick the automated system into getting me a HUMAN on the liine? I dont want to start disputing trades until I have some of Exerians records of my former addresses and name variations thinned out. I can not reaccess my report from them online which sucks because I saved everything from the time i accessed a few days ago EXCEPT the list of former addresses and name variations. I thought I did but cant seem to find them on my computer. i figure since I have te report number and actually reach a human I might be able to fake it since I have the jist of the name and address info I want gone. you can get into exp report if you have a file number from the one you bought. Just use the "request a dispute" buttons until it prompts you to enter file #, ss#, state and zip. It will let ou look at an abbreviated version as long as you have your file#. Also, here's the number I use to talk with someone at exp: 800 493 1058
Hi I found that link, but when i entered the data it came back with the other 800 number that got me nowhere. it wouldnt let me dispute online. weird!
That is weird...try calling the number I ust gave you. Hopefully that doesn't re-route you to the other useless 800 number. EXP is so useless!!! We should all send them complaint letters written on t-paper, since t-paper is the only thing comparable to use in dealing with the crap they flip at us, lol.
Thanks, the number worked. a human finally, though assistance was only somewhat helpful from them. but its a start. got to dispute about 7 former addresses and will get a report sent to me in 7 days which will hopefully have 7 less addresses and a couple less name variations.
Well, good luck. From my experience and some others on CN, CSC (equifax affiliate) seems to be the only one who tries to verify the info through creditors. They will mark random accounts as disputed and contact the creditors to verify your name and address info. If any creditors have the info on file, csc will not delete. Hate this... EXP was fairly easy to deal with when it came to simple requests like that.
I ordered my EX cr online + the FICO score just to see what is was. I tried to print it out and my browser crashed. I went back to their site two minutes later and tried to re-log again. No dice. Its a one trick pony. I had to wait until the following monday to call their customer service #. They emailed a new pw and user name and I got the one trick show again. I don't have the number anymore, but if you poke around in the section where you can order your credit report, you will find it in there somewhere. They were helpful and there was no long wait on the phone.
