Experian did something stupid..

    I disputed several accounts I have closed.

    Instead of changing them to "closed/paid" they just
    added "ACCOUNT CLOSED BY CONSUMER REQUEST" to the description field on each account, leaving them open. WTF? somebody must have been smoking crack..

    grrr..

    Yeah the did that to me too last month. Bunch of bozos.

    Me too, I wondered why my investigation lasted ONE day.....MORONS!

    That happened to me today as well. I disputed a closed and paid off home equity account that was showing open, and 2 HOURS later they email me to say the investigation is complete.

    I go and look and sure enough it says "Account closed by consumer request" in the comments area... but it's STILL open in the status area.

    I had to dispute it for the 3rd time... but I thought having to dispute something 2x in one day might be a record?? <g>
