I tried to do a search, but with no success. I know i've seen it here before. Does anyone have the # and does it work?
Experian told me they do not have a fax for disputes. TU does. Experian said to mail it to the following with copy of SS# card and DL. P.O. Box 9595 Allen, TX 75013
There is a fax listed with the CA BBB. I have NO idea if it goes anywhere useful though. Go here and then search on 'Experian'.

Stupid me...I believed them so I just sent a CCRR today for I came home to log in Thank you for the next round
I sent a fax in a couple weeks ago to a number they told me to and put it to attention who they told me to. I called a second time and they confirmed it. The third time they basically called me a liar and said they have had no fax for a long time and the fax I used was not theirs. I entered the fax number, and only the number, in google search and it came up experians. I wonder if they are forced to lie or they are just not trained or my favorite- just plain stupid.
I was told that they used to accept faxes, but for security purposes, they no longer acept them. I am sure the number still works, but I don't think they will pay attention to anything they receive.
The 972 fax number is the only one that matters at Experian. It goes directly to the Consumers Special Assistance Group. Very helpful people. The direct phone number is 800-322-3162.
Thought I would add a couple of procedural tips. Call them first and speak to one of the reps. I've spoken to two, and they were both very helpful. A third rep dumped me off into voicemail hell, so I hung up and tried again. Don't volunteer a report number unless they ask; that's what got me dumped into vocemail hell. Wait until they ask you for your Social, then you're on your way. That way, when you send your fax, it is going to a specific person. Seems to work pretty quickly that way. I was blown away by how fast the Chevron thing was cleared up. Just in the nick of time, too.
I take it that when you called the special Consumer's Special Assistance Group, that is the number that they gave you. the 972 number. Does it really matter if you have a name on it?
I've used it twice now. It works. I suppose you could send it in, but me, I'd rather have a specific person to send it to. A specific person who is expecting the fax. A specific person that you can follow up with. Why wouldn't you do that?
EXPERIAN DOES HAVE A FAX NUMBER AND THE LADY TOLD ME IT IS A ONE TIME FAX NUMBER BECAUSE THEY CHANGE IT ALL THE TIME the 972-390-1680 is no longer valid, I have the new number but I wont listed until I have faxed in my docs, i will list it in a few days
