I just got off of the phone with a "flower" at Experian. I got updated copies of all three CR's in Feb, and noticed an account that wasn't on there last year and I had never seen before. She said that the dispute is in progress and will be completed by March 26. My question is, what happens if this account (that is truly not mine) is verified? BTW, the account was for $900.00 and was paid in full, and never late. So it really doesn't hurt me, its just not mine. Any help is appreciated. Erica
If it gets verified... the burden of proof is on you. By the way, are you sure someone isn't using your info to get credit? Call the creditor and find out. You can always use the validation info... and if it stays, you get 1.000 for violations of fcra.
I can't find a listing on the internet or the CRA for the creditor. Their name is Cyberspace Architects out of Florida. Has anyone heard of them? Erica
