ok, all of a sudden I can no longer dispute a TL on EXP that I disputed 12/2002..when will I be able to dispute this incorrect entry again? Also, anyone had any luck disputing inquiries with EXP lately?
What difference does that make as to whether he is able to dispute an acct? The cra doesn't know if there really is or isn't something wrong with the listing.
Mark, I just tried to dispute a couple of items that came back verified. I tried online and it came back that I already disputed the item and wouldn't let me go any further. I had tried to dispute by mail, but it came back the same way - I thought I might have better luck online. I am just going to send out another letter and hope that it will go through this time.
LKH -- My point was going to be that if the item is actually incorrect, I would suggest sending documentation showing why the item being listed is incorrect.
Welcome to the board Prafces It would be really nice if the Evil Exp. actually did consider evidence we submit. But they don't. Yes, they are supposed to consider the evidence we submit, but really, they just never do. If you have an inaccurate account, hope the creditor doesn't verify or takes the time to actually respond with correct information on your first two disputes. But first, you have to get EXP to investigate, after generally two disputes.....you are locked out, so to speak blacklisted from further disputes on that specific account in EXP's system. Your only hope now is to get the creditor to send a UDF to delete/update. Even if you send a creditor's letter to delete after the second dispute to EXP, they won't investigate------>because they don't care what we send them, they ONLY care what the creditor directly reports. If you want EXP to consider evidence, you will probably have to file a claim against them in court or the AG.
I called EXP and explained my situation -- that I had an account I knew was not mine that already came off my other 2 reports, and for some reason The creditor continued to verify the TL. All that was the absolute truth so I am not advocating you lie. I am just letting you know what worked for me to get a 3rd dispute. If they verify this time, I will be filing complaints with the FTC, BBB and AG.
Well I am not sure that even the AG can help you, The Washington AG is contacting Experian in regards to this matter for some of my Wife's Tradelines and even with additional information and letter from the AG, there appears to be no new investigation. dog
yes the item is incorrect, but that wouldnt matter as far as Im concerned, I'll happily dispute items that are correct along with it. as far as sending them items to hang myself with, no thanks..that is a really bad idea. Thanks for all the info..I guess Im screwed on this one.
