I just spoke with Experians Consumer Affairs Special Services and they just told me that Experian doesn't have any fax capabilities!! Sounds like a crock to me but she said they haven't for the past 10 months. Anyone else hear this?
Sounds like BS. Even if they are trying to discourage your use of it, they would still need a number of FAXs for their own legal and business purposes.
No, not officially... I have been told more than once that they do not accept faxes in connection with disputes or reinvestigations. There was a fax number on the BBB page for Experian at one time, IIRC, but there is no guarantee it will get to the right department. It's hard to say you have preserved your rights if you have faxed to an unpublished number, not to mention the real danger of having your personal information flying about to who knows where...
