I applied for a morgage and need to take care of a account that experian is showing , the account was tranfer or sold and it still reports a balance I have disputed this as many times as they would let me, I have a letter from the creditor showing a zero balance, I have called and left messages for Kim Hughes, Specialist (Carla's peer) Consumer Affairs Special Services 701 experian Way Allen, TX 75013 972-390-4026 direct 972-390-1680 fax and faxed her the letter,she has not returned my calls or fixed the problem what else can I do to clear this up asap, Thanks Pam
I suggest you send a procedure description request letter to EX, and include with your request the letter from the OC that shows a $0 balance. Let them explain how they "verified" that you have balance when you have proof direct from the source that there is no balance. You may also want to trying faxing the letter from the OC to 972-390-3838. I am not sure who exactly this fax goes to, however it's worked for me (what I asked to be done, was in fact done), so it may be worth a shot for you.
