I just want to share that I spoke with probably the most inept person at Experian today. Her name is Karen and she is a member of the superior team. Evidently Experian has "team-names" for the call center associates. Superior is a total misnomer for she was anything but -- I have this JCPenney account that is reported as a paid/charge-off, yet also reported as "managed my a credit counseling service." My argument is that if something is PAID, it cannot be MANAGED (present-tense) by a 3rd party. I'm also gritching about the fact that they reset the 7yr clock on the account to the date that I last disputed it. Karen claims that this information is reported by the creditor, and then calculated by Experian. However, when I pointed out the inconsistency of the continues on record date... to that of another account with similar information, she repeated her mantra, that they only report what the get.... ARGH! IDIOT. At this point, I'm a little huffy with her and ask her if she does not see the problem and she tells me that it doesn't matter. She asks if there is anything further that she can do, and I said, well since you are incapable of handling my request, I guess it would be out of the question for your to work-on reforming the credit reporting industry, wouldn't it? By the way, her supervisor, Tory, also a member of the (laughable) SUPERIOR team was not available, but wouldn't be able to help me either. I guess that's what you get when you pay someone $5/hour.
