I am wondering how lexington law gets Experian to re-investigate? There letter head may or is of some huge advantage I would imagine. My attempts to get evil experian to re-investigate seem to be failing :(.

Do you think that Lexington uses letterhead? I seriously doubt it. I would say that they use the same dispute letters that we use.

My understanding is they make the letter appear as if it is from you. If you do a search on Lexington, there for a short period of time, a couple of employees from Lex were posting here.

Oh sure! If you don't believe it just ask them.

    LOL

Their statistics on how many people they have helped is about like the infamous statistics on how many people have died from smoking related disease. Every year it is the exact same number. 425,000 people have died.

In Mexico it is the same 425,000 people die every year there too.
In Canada it is the same 425,000 people die every year there too.
In Poland it is the same 425,000 people die every year there too.
In Russia it is the same. 425,000 people die every year there too.

I bet Lexington only uses Online disputes, otherwise it cost them to much in postage.

In July of 2002 I decided to use Lex Law to help with my credit problems. In August I got a letter in the mail that was hand written to Transunion. I opened it and it was a horrible form letter Lex Law sent to TU that they made to look like it came from me. Luckily they used such poor writing that it was returned to my address.

I immediately called them and emailed them I wanted to stop this service. I searched the web and found this website and others to help me conduct this fight myself.

The CSR at Lex Law said it would take 10 to 12 months to get the results I wanted. I am now just past the 6 month mark doing this on my own and I just have a few lates and 1 CA I need to take care of.

I am sure glad I saw that horrible letter they sent out in July.

Yes I think that a person can do a better job himself than these so called credit repair companies.

I was using a company called Clear Credit but they were so slow I decided to go it on my own. They did stupid things like disputing inquiries that were due to come off in a month anyway

I think that no company can compete with a motivated and informed consumer , unless your file is really complicated.

    good luck

Clear Credit is the old Junum according to what has been posted on the board before by others.

    Thanks Bill

I did not know that. I did a search on clear credit and my suspicions were confirmed.

BTW their website apologises for any delay as they are moving to a new location--for the past three months. I sent them another email to make sure my membership is cancelled.

    Hi Dog

Experian is a tough one for me also. I am trying to get two small property tax liens for 100 dollars each removed. I just got my results of my third try at deletion.---- Items verified 3/03 items remain.-----

Can I ask what items you are trying to get off? I think tax liens are one of the toughest!

    Good luck

Well, when I request procedures, even though I put in big bold print this is not a request for a reinvestigation, they reinvestigate anyway!!!! Have you tried that?

It's painful trying to get them to re-investigate. I've had my best luck with re-investigations by just calling them. I've had 2 deleted that way. But, I've also had some stick. I haven't had any luck on the website or via mail for re-investigations or procedures requests. hmmm~

Re: Re: Experian is a problem!

I wonder how that could be? In a previous post you noted most everyone has at least 40% success by simple disputes. You mean when you have disputed tradelines you haven't gotten a single deletion?
