I was curious about what the qualifications were to be a customer rep at Experian was so I looked it up. It looks like everyone is right when they say that the CRAs do not have the "Greatest" people working for them. I have seen tougher qualifications for Department Store jobs. They pay is $10.60 an hour. No wonder they are always so pissy when I call.

    Qualifications

â?¢ Must be able to successfully pass a credit and background check.
â?¢ Has data entry (6,000+ kph) and typing (40+ wpm) experience. Keys data with speed and accuracy into the computer.
â?¢ Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
â?¢ Must be available to work any 8 hour shift during our call center operating hours of 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
â?¢ Has customer service experience in a high volume call center environment.
â?¢ Has superior organizational skills. Keeps files and work area organized.
â?¢ Has perfect attendance and can be trusted to handle a high level of responsibility.
â?¢ Maintains company values and demands the highest standards of conduct from self and others. Demonstrates strong work ethic. Uses time productively to accomplish challenging work goals. Develops efficient work methods.
â?¢ Pursues work with insatiable energy and drive.

And they're in one of the most affulent suburbs of DFW. The lowest paying job pays that amount. Charlie

I beg to differ with you. Allen is not one of the most affluent areas. Highland Park is first, then Las Colinas, McKinney, Plano, Frisco, Allen/Richardson...

Allen is for those who want to look like Plano without the Plano price. It adds another 30 to your commute!

$10.50 is not one of the lowest incomes in that area. There are still plenty of $6.60 - $8.00 per hour jobs. Ask anyone in retail.

I grew up in las colinas. lived in highland for a little while while going to smu.

allen is very nice though...pricey too. A rep at exp coulndt live there comfortably at that rate.

Allen is growing like crazy and the cost of housing will be increasing drastically pretty soon. But then again, with the tel-com bust a lot of the money is leaving DFW pretty quickly so who knows. The only thing I like about Allen is that it is one of the first places I found in the area that you could actually buy beer without having to drive across hell and half of dallas.

That is typical wages for a Call Center Representative. I would think they would pay more for an "experienced" rep. The problem with Experian is their reps are so rude and just plain dumb! My guess is they may have a lot of applicants but most won't pass the background and credit check.

My intiution is right they're ramping up for CHUD. I bet they're going to give them a few hours or a couple of days training and throw them on the phones.

So with an influx of new people, mistakes will be at an all time high, which proves my theory CHOD will probably work for some people.

Maybe i should apply and spend my vacation time working there straightening out my credit report. Of course they have it screwed up again within a few weeks.

I can't afford the pay cut...ALTHOUGH IT WOULD BE NICE TO BE ON THE "INSIDE"...but I suppose you couldn't even access your own report...AFTER 20+ YEARS I COULD FINALLY HAVE IT 100% COMPLETE AND 100% ACCURATE.

    :)
