Experian is on drugs!

Just looked at my report on CreditExpert and noticed something I hadn't seen before:

    MBGA/JC Penney
    Date opened 5/1998
    Last reported 7/1997

Am I missing something here? How could an account be reported ten months before I applied for and opened it?

I'm afraid to call them on it, in case they just delete it (it's a positive trade).

    Kinda scary...:\

Go to PENNEYS and buy something, even $10.00 and when the bill comes, go to PENNEYS to pay the bill and buy something else even if it is only $10.00...it should update after the second $10.00 payment...(if not, call PENNEYS and ask them to update...the CRA'S just seem to DELETE, instead of fixing the problem)...

Thanks GEORGE! Actually, this account has been closed for over a year, so I can't buy stuff with it. I may still contact Monogram Bank and ask them what's up. I'm not bringing it up with Experian because as you said, they'll just zap it off my report altogether.

Or I may do nothing at all. I really just posted it because it's a good example of "CRA Tales from the Twilight Zone".)
