Looked at my credit report yesterday, noticed an inquiry from "First Savings" in Arlington, Tx. - knowing I didn't apply I checked with my mortgager and even First Savings - neither pulled my report. So I called Experian to inform them, even had a number for S. Mitchell at First Savings to confirm my story. Experian guy then tells me that inquiries are NO LONGER disputable (I can't even dispute the item in writing). If I want this inquiry off, I have to ask Mitchell to send a request to Experian to have the inquiry removed. After talking with this guy (Who either recently left Equifax and carrired his attitude with him, or is part of the new "Be like Equifax" campaign going on at Experian) I realized I was going nowhere. So I asked if there was a number that Mitchell could call there to remove the item. His response: "She would have that number", and when I asked if she didn't "Well then she needs to take it up with someone who does." Idiots! So much for trusting the CRA's to do their job. GT
