When you start a dispute online, and provide an email address, will you be notified of your results by email, snail mail, or both?

I did an online dispute in July and was told an e-mail with the results and a special code to review would be sent to me. Everyday, I have checked the investigation and at the top of the page it states that August 14 was the date for results.

Well, I am still waiting for the e-mail to review the report. I can see that many things have been deleted, and others say updated, but no more than that. So, here it is the 15th and no e-mail.

Love, you will get the results by regular mail also. They use to send an email with a special code to review results but they seem to have stopped that. However when they were doing it correctly, I got the email and snail mail results on the same dispute.....go figure.

Nice to know that I am not the only one Experian is flaking out on :) My results were due a few weeks ago. I have not heard a peep.

Love, I believe the CRA owes you a response within 5 days of investigation completion (correct me if I'm wrong gang) So, if the fault lies with the USPS (Usually Slow Postal Service) then there isn't much you can do about it. When you do get the response, check the date the response was printed and mailed, if it's not within 5 business days they have to correct your credit report according to your dispute.

From the FCRA: "A consumer reporting agency shall provide written notice to a consumer of the results of a reinvestigation under this subsection not later than 5 business days after the completion of the reinvestigation, by mail or, if authorized by the consumer for that purpose, by other means available
    to the agency."

    Hope that helps,

    Mike,

I should have also gotten an email response. Normally I do.

I rarely get an email advice from any of them. Occasionally I get an email from EQ (about 3 weeks after the fact).

They all ususally go with snail mail.

Whoops! I guess you were disputing online (I should read more closely) My experience until this week was over snail mail. Still, the same limits apply for email, don't they?

When I first started out with Experian they would send only the email reply. Recently though, they have sent nothing, no email and no paper results.

This applies only to my online disputes. The phone dispute I made resulted in a paper result, but no report (even though address info changed).

It seems Experian tries their hardest to do the least amount of work...

It has now been 39 days since my dispute was complete with them. I have not heard a word either.

    I have the same experience.....

Usually I get nothing after a dispue concludes. Ocasionally I will get an email well after I know the outcome. Paper is sporadic and never complete. Do you think this is because we have Credit Expert? They know that we can pull it ourselves; therefore, they are not as concerned about getting the results to us?

I have disputed with Experian and when doing so, they gave me the option of receiving my results and report via regular US mail or email. I, of course, opted for US mail!

I dont know if I helped any but I just wanted to add my 2 cents!)
