I disputed several accounts online (experian-through credit expert) a weeksago and have been trying unsuccessfully to review their progress through the "investigation status" feature on the experian site. I know they are being investigated because they are highlighted on the credit expert report. Anyone know if you can use the investigation status feature when you file the dispute online/through credit expert? Anyone have similar problem?

Just figured out that I need the report number from that day in order to check disputes... I didn't realize the number changes everytime you check your report... any way to get the report number from experian so I can check the disputes?

YOu can call and check the disputes, but I think they still require report number. If they are still highlighted they are still being investigated. When they are deleted they will be gone and if they are "verified" <~~~ NOT , the highlighting will be gone.

Did you save or print the report from the day you started your investigation? That's how I tracked mine...

    kit,
The "investigation status" feature won't tell you anything more during the dispute than checking on CE. You'll just see "pending". You can find that out, like Christi said, by seeing if it's still highlighted and marked as disputed through CE. I have noticed that one or two of the tradelines will be verified or gone from CE, before I get my "investigation results" email.
