I need advice on Experian, I have 15 negatives left on my report, I am unable to dispute online anymore because they say it has been verified twice. Don;t laugh, I am down from 30 on Experian, my score is currently 555. There are 3 accounts from Beneficial that were included in bankruptcy I would like to see removed. plus the bankruptcy itself. Will it do any good to send in disputes by mail, I am using Junum on other reports, should I send this to them?
BUMP I'm wondering this too.. I disputed a few Experian paid collection accounts, and they were 'verified'. (although deleted from the other CA's) I tried to dispute again online, and it wouldn't let me, saying it was already verified, and if I had additional info, to mail it in. I mailed in a dispute, and they returned a letter saying the same thing...that it had already been verified. hmmm jmart
I know, its frustrating. (SamIam, no one is laughing, we have all been there, and you are trying to work it out, which is a smart thing. We support you in that Anyhow, I had this happen to me too, but I found that if I waited 60 days, they would reinvestigate. This is a long time, I know, but when I wrote to tell them they had to reinvestigate by law, they sent me a letter which basically said the item was verified already, and no further action would be taken. But like I said, they did do it 60 days later.
They did the same thing to me, but I mailed a letter in like immediately. When I went online to check current status, It showed investigation in progress.
4 months ago I disputed a Judgement as not mine and it came back verified (EX) . Yesterday online the system would not allow another investigation stated it was already verified. i called them today and talked the rep into disputing it by saying I workrd out an agreement with the original vendor to remove the judgement. They opened an investigation.
I had an account come back verified twice with Ex via snail mail dispute (second time nothing was even done, I just got the instant "we already verified this item etc" response). I then disputed it online a couple times. It came back verified, so I did it snail mail again ... verified ...I waited a month tried it again online and it was correctly removed. My point...if they won't let you dispute this item in this cycle online...use snail mail or even fax...then switch back to online.... wash, rinse, repeat until clean. Wait a month between cycles sometimes and dispute other items, that works too. -Peace, Dave
My recent experience with Experian. Disputed about 15 items by snail mail. Everything verified. Immediately disputed the same stuff online through CreditExpert. Everything verified. Lost my temper and called to dispute. i WAS TOTALLY TICKED OFF. tHE LADY i GOT WAS NICE AND REMOVED EVERYTHING WITHIN TWO HOURS. i THINK IT DEPENDS ON WHO YOU GET. I can give advice, I just can't type.
I had a similar experience with Experian. My Ex report showed a judgement that was not mine. I disputed it twice only to have it verified both times. I applied for a Citi AA card and was denied because of this judgement, boy was I pissed. I took a day off from work and went to the courthouse got a copy of the judgement to prove it wasn't mine. I called Ex and said I have proof that it wasn't mine and if they didn't remove it that day they would get hauled into court. Faxed a copy of the judgement and it was removed the next day. It makes me think that they didn't even try to verify the information the first two time it was so blatantly not my judgement. Ed
