Get this I recieved a letter from Experian (resulting from an online investigation request) and it lists 2 items still pending. The investigation was initiated July 17th. The results were due by Aug 16th. In this letter it states that the outcome of two items is still pending and their projected completion date is Aug 17th... the letter Report date is Aug 20th... 4 days after the projected completion date.

What are my possible actions for recourse if these bad boys are verified and stay on there?

BTW I have letters of deletion from the CA on these 2 and Experian has them as well. I don't see what the big deal is.

That's what I figured... I just never know what role is appropriate for a given situation. Half of the time I'm Mr. "Gee Whiz Wally, how did this stuff get there?" and the other half of the time I let them know that I know (or that I think I do =) ).

How exactly is it that they think that this isn't a violation of the FCRA? Do they just bet on the average Joe just not having a clue?

maybe I'm totally naive here but are you saying that CRA's get some sort of cut for reporting? I've always wondered just how they made their money.

    BTW.. they're gone now.

bad credit=more apps (than a person with good credit) to find you a loan

    more apps=more credit reports pulled

    credit reports pulled=profit for CRA

    See the relation?

Above all, they make money off the companies that subscribe to their services.

My free 30 day trial ran out again(for like the 7th time). I went to use another handle for creditexpert and they would not let me for the first time in a year. I think they are catching on here. Boooo.

1*The lower your score is the more Lenders and Insurers charge you for loans and insurance.
If CRAs correct two many reports causing to many scores to increase it really cuts into their clients bottom line.

2*To sum up what I stated in 1 above. The CRAs goal is pleasing their clients even if it means screwing over us the consumer.
