Experian report shows no accounts

Hi all, did a search didn't find anything similar to my situation.

Pulled reports from all three agencies today. Trans Union and Equifax both show the same info: one negative account and 5 that are in good standing.

Experian however has nothing. Neither the negative or any of the positives. It does have my past addresses and "aliases".

Not sure if this matters but, all of the credit comes from what I think are big well known companies. Big banks for the credit cards, government for the student loan and a car manufacturer's credit arm for the car loan.

    1. Any ideas on how to get Experian to show the accounts? Is that something they'd handle or do I have to request the creditors to do something?

    2. Does the lack of info on the Experian report affect my credit score on the other reports?

    Thank you so much

Many lenders don't report to all 3 bureaus, but it still surprises me that your Experian report doesn't include one single account.

I would talk to your lenders and try to find out who they have a reporting relationship with first. Maybe you'll find out they're making a mistake and info. isn't being reported correctly for some reason. Experian won't be able to do anything for you, because all they do is collect and manage information reported to them.

And no, your FICO scores with TransUnion and Equifax are based solely on the information in their respective files, so I don't believe your lack of an Experian score would affect them. Have you pulled your scores too? Of course, consumers can't even buy their Experian-based FICO scores anymore while many lenders still use them to assess credit risk. How lame is that?

    Thank you!

Thanks Joshua. I'll start off by contacting my creditors. It just seems really odd that none of them, all independent of each other, report to experian. I paid for my scores from tu and eq. Neither is bad but not great either. I thought maybe the exp score (of 0?) was affecting the others. Thanks for the clarification on that as well.

Another weird thing- my wife just pulled her reports. I'm the cosigner on our car loan. Her experian report shows all of her info including the car loan showing me as cosigner.

    Happy holidays-

You may also want to add your additional alias because if you have recently changed names your file with Experian could have become fragmented and without the alias to pull your file could be the reason. Where your accounts with large companies like B of A or Chase?

Hi creditsupp, thanks for the reply!

Experian has all of my aliases. I've never changed names and the accounts are all with large companies.
