I faxed Experian (ok, I probably should have sent it CCCR) an "Intent to Sue Letter" after they did not respond to a request for deletion of an item that a CA could not validate after 4 months and they responded by sending me a letter saying they did not have enough identifying info ( I had not included my SSN). So, I faxed a second letter with my SSN. Today, I get a response in the mail which says," We received a recent request regarding your credit information that does not appear to have been sent directly to us by you. As a precautionary measure, we have not taken any action on your alleged request". Tomorrow I am sending the same letter, signed, CCCR with a copy of their last letter. What do you guys think? Stalling technique? or legitimate attempt on their part to watch out for the consumer (Ha!)??
