Hello all, I recently disputed an old cc account online (Experian) and at the thirty day mark it was deleted. I then disputed 2 open tax liens. One came back verified and the other came back verified and updated (released). What was amazing is having a tax lien released vs. open doen't help your score one bit. I was very surprised about this.

In regards to Equifax, when my score was at 720 it was considered "a very good score". After my Chevron inquiry hit my score dropped to 715 with no other report changes. Equifax considered 715 "a good score". It seems your credit status, according to Equifax, changes in this score range. FYI.

I guess as far as scoring goes, they (the negs) should have never happened in the first place...

    Can't win for losing...
