CALLED ONE OF THEIR 800 #s TO ORDER A PAPER COPY OF MY REPORT, GOT A COMPUTERIZED MESSAGE "IF YOU ARE TRYING TO REACH EXPERIAN CREDIT ETC. PLEASE HOLD AND YOU WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO A SYSTEM THAT WILL LOOK UP THE "CORRECT" NUMBER AND CONNECT YOU, FOR $2.99, CHARGED TO THE # YOU ARE DIALING FROM, OR YOU CAN HANG UP AND CALL LOCAL INFORMATION", MAY NOT BE WORDED EXACTLY, BUT YOU GET THE IDEA, I IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP AND REDIALED THE SAME #, AND GOT RIGHT THRU TO THEIR ORDERING SYSTEM, BTW, THIS WAS FOR A FREE REPORT. ANOTHER WAY FOR THEM TO GET SOME REVENUE FROM THE "CONFUSED". A REAL DISGRACE.
Experian To order a report: P.O. Box 2002 Allen, TX 75013 phone number that 1 888 397 3742<---------1-888# IS STILL TOLL FREE...I BET YOU GOT A BUSINESS TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK ON WRONG NUMBERS... NOT 1-800... Equifax Credit Information Services P.O. Box 740241 Atlanta, GA 30374 1-800-685-1111 Trans Union P.O. Box 1000 Chester, PA 19022 1-800-888-4213
IT WAS THE PHONE # THAT I HAVE USED PREVIOUSLY, RIGHT FROM AN OLD REJECTION LETTER LISTING ALL THREE.
The 1-888 number connects you directly to experian. However, if you dial it this way 1-800-397-3742, you get the message "if you are trying to call Experian, .." and it goes on to say that they will connect you for $2.99 billed to your telephone number. breeze
DIDN'T I SAY...NOT 800# ??? Probably somebody trying to make a buck$$$$ on wrong numbers. thanks, breeze
Right George. It has to be a telco doing it. Who else would have the equipment and connections to connect someone automatically to another number, and then bill your home number? breeze
THANKS FOR THE INFO., TALK ABOUT TRICKS!! I MUST HAVE DIALED THE 800 VERSION, I'M SURPRISED THEY DON'T BUY UP THAT LINE.
