Experian is the biggest joke. On Friday, I had 3 bankruptcies and 1 tax lien removed from my report because they were not mine. Guess what the rude awakening was............ my score went down 4 points. I was floored. How can that be. I was expecting it to jump out of sight. Does anyone have a clue why this happened. Is there anything I can do?
Kind of depends how old they were. A lot of time, your score will dip down just a little after a deletion-sometimes the age of the account makes a difference. Don't worry!! It will head up!!!
I am pretty sure that I have read on this board that a derog is embedded into our files, which peeves me royal. When something truly is not the consumer's and it's deleted, we the consumer NEVER immediately reclaim the lost points. The scores only raise again over time in my experience.
I "LOST" 3 inquires on EQUIFAX that "COST" me 21 points and got 14 POINTS BACK!!! F.I.C.O. IS A SCAM!!!
Re: Re: Experian score change what gives? Don't forget that the Experian is NOT a real fico score. It is a fako score. It should only be used as a general guage of how you are doing. Now, just because it fell 4 pts on the fako, doesn't mean your fico didn't go up 30pts. The only way to find out is to have a creditor pull your report.
