Just thought I would share - signed up for creditexpert on 7-14-01 7-14-01: 571 7-21-01: 589 7-28-01: 595 8-4-01: 596 8-7-01: 602 I've been disputing inquiries (most removed). Significant number of negative paid charge-offs removed as well. I'll post again in another month and see what the difference is.
Congratulations. I have been waiting for the report to update. I received a letter from Ford that my account was paid off. I received a similar letter from Capital One. I have 2 other paid accounts of which none have registered with credit expert. I also have a new card which the inquiry has registered and dropped my score 5 points. I wish I saw the same progression as you. I also am disputing the heck out of inquiries and the paid in full accounts. Mike G.
Experian is my WORST report. I signed up 7/8/2001. I stayed at 594 for 3 weeks. I had a judgement removed and a collection removed that was placed 3/2001. Guess what? My score jumped 4 measly points. I am at 598. I thought with the recent collection 3/2001, would cause my score to sky rocket. It did with Equifax, with the 2 negative entries removed my score went from 578 to 660. The problem is, 90% of all companies pull Experian. I reside in Western PA. I have to deal with the affiliate, The Credit Bureau. Which is the worst and most inept!!!! I have my last 4 collection accounts on Experian only. My Equifax and Trans Union perfectly clear (after 2 years)!
Thanks! That's great - I hope that it goes up some more. I am planning a new car purchase and if I can navigate out of the current risk area, I think I'll be set with a decent rate.
