    All:

I stumbled on this site late January or early February. Since then, I've had 1 collection account deleted on both Experian and Equifax. I also had 1 hard inquiry deleted from Experian.

Today is a great day though! I received a notification from Experian stating that they have updated my 6 90+ days late on my student loan accounts. How did I do it? Initially, I sent a goodwill letter to Nelnet. It got denied twice. I kept calling and finally got an OK from a supervisor. I asked a written documentation that they will indeed do it. Then, with Nelnet's permission, I disputed with the CRA's to speed up the process. Nelnet said it takes them 6 weeks to finish the process but if I disputed it would take up to 30 days. Well, my Experian used to be my lowest FICO which was 643. I don't know what it is now but it is currently my first SPOTLESS credit report! I managed to do it in a little over TWO MONTHS!!!!!!! I am still waiting for Equifax and Trans Union's results, but after that I will be applying for a mortgage! =)

    THANK YOU ALL!

Did you get the name of the person at nelnet. I'm going through the same exact thing.

No, I did not get the name of the supervisor. But I called on a Friday at 6 PM EST. Maybe you can do the same thing and the same supervisor will be there. I called the Jacksonville call center.

Here's what you need to do. If you ask a regular customer rep. they will definitely deny you. They do not have the authority to grant goodwill adjustments. So, after explaining my situation to the customer rep. I politely said "Thank you for listening to my long story and as you can see, I have never been late for 3 years. The late payments were not intentional because as soon as I heard from Nelnet, I immediately made arrangements to make payments over the phone. I know you see that in my account. Do you mind telling your supervisor about my situation and ask her about retraction the negative notations? Or should I speak to him?" Then, the customer rep said "Do you mind holding?" After 5 minutes, she said "The supervisor agreed to retract the late payments. It will take 4 to 6 weeks for the information to reach the bureaus". I thanked her and called back the following week. I asked for a written documentation that they will delete the late payments. In that documentation, it is important to have the full account numbers, what is going to be done, and it should be signed.

Voila.... no more 6 90+ late payments. =)
    Good luck!
