Well, I disputed two Foleys accounts with Experian, right after sending a dispute directly to Foleys. Results were due 2/8. On 2/9 I called, and was told they had the updated information since 1/20, but had been unable to get it entered into their computers? WTF?

I fired off a fax to them, and they moved ONE of the accounts to the positive side, but still blue shaded as under investigation. Yesterday, they changed the account to paid never late. The other "Remains" What the heck happened to the new information???

Also, on hubby's report is a GMAC account that says defaulted, early termination. Not true. Put it under investigation, and wrote GMAC. GMAC sends me a copy of the UDF they sent EX saying not in default, not early termination.

Today it was updated to "Remains".

I am so sick of this CRA, and the FTC doesn't seem to give a rats hiney about it!

I know what your going through, I had things under investigation for 45 days.. I finally started sending fax after fax until the change was the way I wanted it. Since I already tried for validation from the OC/CA and never got a response.. I went to experian still fax after fax.. Took about two weeks to happen.. But finally got all my changes.. Once they put verified on the collection account.. I sent a fax a hour with the greencard, and the letter mailed to the CA.. Did that for two days.. Finally was deleted.. Now I am faxing telling them to put the right credit limit on the accounts.. Not capital one accounts as I know they dont report no biggie.. But my AMEX and GMAC.. They both were reporting limits to the other two CRA's but experian wasnt listing it.. So I sent a letter via fax waited 5 days... Then a fax a day.. Until it was corrected. Then I moved on too the 50 ways they had my named spelled along with 10 addresss I had no clue of.. Took several faxes to get those taken care of as well.

    Persistant fella aren't you! LOL

I just got off the phone with GMAC. They are as baffled as I am. Experian swears it was verified on 2/17, and GMAC says the only thing they can think of is they aren't reading their codes correctly. (They transmit computer to computer). She said they are about to have a manager's meeting about Experian because I am not the only one complaining.

want a little secret.. :) about dealing with this kind of thing.. ssshhh
Dont tell anyone.. But here goes..
I call the OC of a opened or recently closed card if the card is closed I ask for a final statement saying paid.... I change my addy to a fictional one.. Usually a buddies house.. I also say.. Hey my name is misspelled.. and have them change it.. Just a letter here or there.. So that is two things that will not match my Credit report.. :) Hence no validation.. :) Might result in a deleted tradeline.. but you can get that reinserted if the card is still open pretty easily.. So there you go.. That is my big secret, that has worked pretty well for me.. Well to tell the truth it never failed.. Only reason I am releasing it now is that, My reports are clear.. For now at least.. Hope this perhaps will help you maybe someone else..

An yes with these darn CRA's you have to become a pain in their butt before they will do anything.. Espcially EXP.. They are just evil.. Never reporting credit limits.. an keeping every variation they can think of your name, SSN, addy... Its truly a sad tail

    Experian sux hairy ones.

Have had luck completely cleaning up hubbys 2 other reports. Evil Exp keeps verifying info that was deleted form other reports. I have sent in copies of docs showing authorization to delete (form CA's and oc's) yet, they "mysteriously" keep verifying. After sending exp proof of cancellation letters, they sen us a letter that says they cannot use the info we sent them...they had to do their own investigation. Sometimes I wonder what they actually do.

The question I have is when a dispute is done as not mine or that it should be deleted per cancellation authorization from CA or OC, they just verify whether or not the account exists...it doesn't appear they even apply the reason we are disputing. The other cra's have done this too, but usually a phone call has cleared this up. EXP won't budge.

I asked they to list my cl on account that has a 6500 limit but 0 balance (it is reported on my other reports) and...boom, they delted the whole darn thing. Had to contact oc to have them re-report the tl info. They aren't sure why it was deleted...they said exp never even contacted them. Fortunatley, they will re-report the info and I'm waiting for it to reappear.

I know there are several complaints about exp. Someone really needs to get them. Seems like nearly everyone can prove violations.

Experian told me today that they would not accept documentation from me showing 1) the account was re-aged by the CA. 2) the Explanation of Benefits from my insurance company showing they paid the OC on 12/29/95. 3) My billing statement from the OC which I received after the insurance credits were applied 4) my canceled check showing I paid my portion, the balance to the OC 10 days after receiving the statement.

I could not get it through her thick skull that the account was paid before ever going to collection!

She said to me "none of this proves anything and can't be used to reinvestigate" she further stated that my problem was with the CA...not her.

Evil Experian has to be the worst people in the world. When I think of them, I picture "Gollum" when he was turning on Frodo. I tried to restart re-investigations on some items that I have sent validation to but on Equisux, Mercantile Adjustment, marked it as "item disputed" Thanks PsychDoc for the direction on requesting validation. Anyway, the item is marked remains on Evil Experian.

This little statement burns me up..

Then why do they put this statement on the re-investigation site (or refuse to re-investigate)
