Please help! Anyone! I'm new at this but i disputed some judgements online with experian. They came back verified. BUT some of these companies no longer exist. How could they have verified this. Is there anything else I can do. I really do not have too many bad trade lines... But I do have 4 tax liens from 1999 and 2000 and 2 small claim judgement for a car accident ( i dented an a plate on an attorneys car, didn't pay $286. out of spite, boy do i regret that, but he's no longer around), neither is an office supply company that has a small claim and a staffing agency and 2 dr's bills. I can see verifying with the IRS but not with those other folks. ......................Any suggestions?

Judgements are verified via the court that they were filed in. The original creditor does not have to be around since the judgment is recorded by the court.

I'm not sure how you should proceed though...try to dispute with a different reason?

    dmspanish-
irs tax liens are not easy to get rid of...you can't just send a dispute letter to the irs...read some of the other threads where I have posted about the irs.

As was stated, judgements are a matter of public record. If you can get the address associated with the judgement removed from your credit reports, you should be able to get the judgements disputed off. If you still live at the address, your best bet is to see if you can the judgements vacated.
