I disputed an account that was included in my bankruptcy, but is still showing open with a balance of 11,900 - I just rec'vd my online dispute results from Experian and their results: Outcome - remains - Huh? how can they do this? I disputed this account with TU and EQX and both corrected with incl in bk, zero balance. What should be my next step be as they obviously did NOT verify this account. I know this is a violation but does this carry any monetary fine I can sue for? Can anyone recommend a good letter to send for this type of issue. I don't get it....now it says updated as of 3/2003? I'm really ticked... Should I call Experian or the OC (First USA)? I'm so mad - I thought this would be another issue taken care of....nope....wrong again!
I agree, ask for procedures next. This is more then paper trail just for paper trail's sake, as your documenting their FCRA violations. My take on this is you've caught them red handed here, and the CRA's screw up spans mutliple FCRA violations as well as lays the ground work for them to violate more.
