I need HELP, this account that does not belong to me is on my Experian CR, I have disputed for the last six months with Experian as not mine, I explained that there are two people at this address with the same names, Experian said they don't care, my last letter was an intent to sue letter and they re-investigated in less than five days, and still says "REMAINS" Experian said to contact the creditor, but I have never done business with this creditor, won't this look like I know who the company is? Should I send the creditor Validation Letter to the address on my CR, if so which one? This is really getting me sick. Should I explain to the creditor that the account is showing up on both my dad's and my CR both have the same name and address? PLEASE HELP!!!!! MY CREDIT IS CLEAN EXCEPT FOR THIS. =( =(
yeah experian employees a$$holes. I would just work with the creditor. Create a paper trail with experian as their resident liar carla blair will just perjure herself in court like she always does. I have yet to find someone who had her in court state she told the truth.
Take the address off the TL and send them a strongly worded letter about getting the erroneous TL off your report. I don't think it will "look" like you know them ... you are just taking the address they decided to stick on your credit report. I am having the same trouble with a sticky c/o that is not mine. They changed it so there is a zero balance and now it says "account sold or transfered." but I have never gotten a letter from this OC or anyone else who says the account was bought or transfered to them. After a couple of tries with EXP, I just sent a letter to the OC two weeks ago ... we'll see what happens. I don't think we really have any other recourse other than going to court. I'm tempted to dispute it again right now online with EXP just because I've gotten so upset re-hashing the ordeal! ugh ... good luck. I hope it works out for you. peace, delilah
