I really need advice on how best to deal with this situation. The OC is reporting discharged in BK, but has admitted that this is their error due to the fact that these are SL's(3). I have had all these recently verified through the CRA's and they did drop off TU. I would love to have the BK designations removed and a payment history started in order to have 4 TL's. These are old TL's and I could use the history. Should I write a semi-validation letter to the OC stating that they are admittedly reporting incorrectly and they need to report correctly? Do I wait until they report correctly to request verification again?(I doubt the CRA's will actually verify these since I disputed them twice already.)Or do I follow normal validation procedure? This problem probably seems stupid, but I really don't know the best way to deal with this particular OC. I know validations are supposed to be used for CA's. I just don't know the best way to deal with this OC. Thanks for any advice.
It's not stupid at all! Did the OC admit to that in writing? If so, you could send that letter to the CA and inform them that they are reporting incorrect information, which is a violation yadda yadda. There are a ton of people here who know how to handle this, so I hope you get some better information soon. Good luck!
Hi Melissa, If the BK's were removed would this render the TL's positive? Try and get something from the OC so you can include that with your next dispute.
Update- I have a letter from the OC that states that I have 3 loans (age 10 yrs) with perfect payment history. They are in dispute with EX and EQ right now, so if they say that the accounts were verified then I have EX and EQ by the something or other. Thanks to Butch for the tip to get them turned positive. I've been fighting these accounts for months. Results will be in by the end of the month. Just thought I'd update. Thank you all.
