If I'm seeing this correctly you opened 6 new accounts in one month (3/2001). I'm amazed. How did you do this?

6 accounts in one month? Each one used a different CRA,2 inquiries on each!

Did you apply at the stores first is why you put no dates on them?

Were you just lucky, or did you engineer this in some way. I tried it with CCC's I thought used different CRA's ended up with too many inquiries on EFX. 1 on TU and 0 on EXP. They all pulled EFX!!

Did you study that feedback site that shows you which cc company pulls which CRA?

Store cards with the exception of target were all opened in the last 4 months!

I guess the moral to this is...next time that you are in California or Texas or Pennsylvania apply for store cards there and let them pull your CR from the ones that they use out there and maybe Macy's, Target, or somebody else will do us all a favor. LOL

The 1 on TU is AmEx, but that is 6/20/01. When I first got the card (last summer), they pulled Equifax, they got my name from Experian. So they have hit all 3.

Citi, B of A, HHB, USAA, People First, Cap One, Associates, FCNB, Pentagon FCU, Netbank - all pulled EFX!!! I have 19 hard inqs in the past 2 yrs on EFX, 1 on TU 0 on EXP!! 8 cards, 1 installment account.

I got Citi AmEx, Cap One and Associates, but then I started getting getting declined for "too many recent inquiries, too many accounts"

I am opting out of all promotional inquiries for a while, and then I will opt in for EFX promotions. Hopefully, if they get my name from EFX, they will check TU or EXP. That's the only solution I can think of.

Any ideas? I don't want to use all the credit, really. But having lots of "options" is wonderful.

Amex rotates CRA'S when you apply for multiple cards in a short time period, however you must apply over the phone and as soon as your apllication shows up on the system[24 hours] call 18009627227 and speak with a supervisor to manually approve you! If you wait for the application to run its course the computer will decide your status and limit.

Also you sometimes have to be pushy with the reps to get on the phone with a supervisor!

I work for AMEX....considering that they are about to lay off 4000 company wide they are probably a little on edge. Funny thing I owe them from a card I had over 10 years ago (that my mother ran up) and they haven't said a thing to me. That is the nature of our company since we have this thing called "Blue Box Values". Anytime any of you expereince rudeness let a supervisor know and write to Ken Chenault if you have to. In my experience I have known them to give customers what they want including money, additional credit increases, and membership rewards points to make them happy and fire the rude employee or put them on counseling (ooooo warning). At any rate when you try to get the card be persistent, they will give in, 'cause they need that annual fee to pay me.(LOL)....Does anyone have the Centurion Card yet (you know the one with the $1000 annual fee)?

Sometimes it takes the phone applications 5 minutes to be in the system and some times up to
24 hours.Keep calling 1-800-962-7227 and if you get the "we recieved your apllication for the........card"message it is in the system.BTW request instant approval when doing phone apps.
