    All:

Here's the deal. I am contemplating paying off my car loan entirely. I had four 30-day late payments from April through July of last year.

Should I try to have these removed before I pay off or should I just pay it off regardless? How would each scenario affect my score?

Paying off your car will boost your score regardless. However, If you still owe a substantial amount, you can add a sob story to your request (i.e. mortgage app in the near future).

Ask them to delete all 4; or negotiate to delete the most recent lates as they hurt you the most.

Just consider the lates as a thank you from the loan Co. as a token of their appreciation of your doing business with them.

Folks we as consumers do not deserve this sort of treatment.
When are you going to stop sitting still for it?????
