I filed a dispute with EXP way back in April. They corrected some of the minor things I disputed, but didn't even touch the major one (obviously inaccurate payment history). They never listed it as in dispute either. I sent another letter approx 32 days after the first one, and insisted that they delete the derog as required under the FCRA. It's been almost two weeks, and they still haven't removed it or responded. It's now listed as being in dispute though, with a response due date of June 17. Maybe they just forgot to investigate that one. I don't know. What do I do now? That 90 day is really holding my EXP scores down. I tried to get the OC to review it for me, but they said they don't have records. I think they do, but the rep. just didn't want to deal with me. Should I just wait it out?
No, I didn't send it CRRR, but I can prove that they got it. They investigated everything else included in that same letter, so they must have gotten it.
If this is an isolated late pay on an account which otherwise has a good history, then try sending a goodwill adjustment letter directly to the creditor (rather than dealing with the credit bureaus): http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&postid=125035#post125035 Doc
