Use Doc's Trick links to dispute hard INQs.

Wanna dispute soft INQs as well?

Use the same links. You'll see that each link contains the word "Others". Once you copy & paste a link, change the word "Others" to "You".

    Voila :)

    Why?

Did I miss a previous thread somewhere about soft inq affecting your credit score?

I'm just curious to know why you would dispute soft inq...Please help me understand the logic.

I mean this out of sincerity...no bewilderment...

    Re: Why?

Check Marie's thread discussing soft promotional INQs and the score benefits of opting out.

I just disputed every damn inquiry, hard and soft, with the exception of the CE inquiries!!!! i figure it doesn't hurt to try!!

Does it take the full 30days to fall off? Can't stand the anticipation!

    Ok...I found it.

    http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...php?s=&postid=105514&highlight=opt#post105514

Then, I must ask....What about inqs that are initiated by you (ie. via Credit Expert)? Should I dispute even those CE inqs?

Also, in her message (first post of that thread), Marie was not conclusive whether Opting Out gave her the big score jump or not.

Are there any other posts (anyone recall) where this is a definitive factor?

    Re: Why?

I'll post some of the results I've seen. On average, the score increased 50 points. Mine did more.

Now, there's acct aging factored into that... but all things equal, the scores all went up...

I had been told to expect at least 30-50 points... I didn't believe it but now I do.

regardless, it also cuts down on identity fraud by someone intercepting an invitation...

    Week or 2...

But you CAN'T do it on-line now...(they turned it off)...

I believe the very purpose of this thread of mine was to show that you CAN do it online now. Hopefully, with results similar to yours.

    Re: Why?

Hey, George, go read the thread "Doc's Trickâ?¢" first. Then come back and read this one again. After you've finished completing this assignment, you will be able to dispute inquiries (hard and soft) using CreditExpert again. :)

    Re: Why?

    George,
Did you also dispute any Experian or Credit Expert ones? I'm wondering if that would be a no-no.

Also, did your score change any after they were removed?
    Thanks!

Sorry, I meant did you dispute any of the Experian or Credit Expert soft inquiries that were on your report? I didn't phrase it right.

    Re: Why?

Ok, George, I just confirmed that non-members who just access their reports at www.experian.com can use the trick as well. It works for those who don't subscribe to CreditExpert. I'll create a post underscoring that feature. :)
