   Okay, now I've seen the credit report and I have several, yes, several, charge offs. Now the questions:
   
   Should I write to contest/validate the charges?
   
   After this, if they validate/respond, should I try to settle for 50% of the amounts?
   
   I'm sorry to ask so many questions, but I'm scared--and anxiety ridden.

   Who is reporting the chargeoff - The CA or OC or both?
   
   What state are you in (for statute of limitations)?
   
   How old are the chargeoffs.
