What is the Fair Credit Billing Act? I am wondering because I got a copy of my Experian report and Asset Acceptance is listed on it three times with three different accounts but all of them state "Account in dispute under Fair Credit Billing Act". I never disputed these accounts before. Can someone give me a heads-up?
Have you ever disputed any charges to your credit card? The FCBA is the act that protects you from billing errors or unauthorized charges to your account. The dispute this notation refers to is not a cra dispute.
I don't think that I have disputed these accounts before but if I did, it was well over a year ago. Why would it still be listed as disputed?
All I know is that I disputed some charges to my Citi card over a year ago and it still reports disputed. They probably just haven't updated.
