Fair Isaac broadening its business

    I just hope this doesn't result in "consumer profitability" being figured into the FICO score. If it does, some of us would be screwed.

    Consumer profitability reminds me of something.

    For 8 months or so my debt has been steadily dwindling and my scores have been steadily rising.

    And you know, when I call about APR reductions I really believe that some companies treat me more rudely than they did back when I owed them money.

    You pay less interest, you're not as good a customer.

    Interesting.

    The thing that really sucks is: even if you the consumer pay no interest, but you charge and payoff alot, they still collect the merchant fees.

    So they're still making money....

    Calypso,

    DMB used to be sooooo accomodating back when I had a high balance of $7300. Now that I owe nothing, they definitely act bored when I use my rising scores as a reason to request an APR reduction.
