Are they going to give me a VISA card like STATE FARM???

Couldn't be for my "INSURANCE" because I pay in FULL BEFORE coverage starts!!!

I am leaving Farmers, I asked for preferred rates, the underwriter screwed up everything, my agent has not been much help. Been with them about 3 years, but goodbye!

Why did they pull anyways? Did you change the policy?

    NO CHANGES...

Added a 4th car more than one year ago...
    Oldest is 18 now...
Youngest can now get permit...(CAN, BUT HAS NOT).

EVEN IF I DID CHANGE THE POLICY...I PAY IN FULL, SO THEY ARE NOT A CREDITOR!!!!!!!!

My homeowners policy went up 180.00 this year assumed it was from the Sept 11 fisaco

Checked my reports and I had an inquiry on TU from an insurance company a few days before my annual billing

This has never been done before.
My, My they are getting sneaky lately.

    Is this legal?

    "SOFT" IS LEGAL...

    "HARD" I WOULD SAY NO!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't go to court over it...I would just cancel them after 20+ years...(not sure yet).

I MIGHT send them a letter of "INTENT" to cancel insurance because they "PULLED" a "HARD" with NO "PERMISSABLE PURPOSE"...

Also same inquiry on spouses report.
    I am disputing w/ TU

    I don't have Farmers
It is some off breed "EMC" they were cheaper than State Farm at the time.

Maybe they are all doing this now.

Im switching to Geico, saving over 50 bucks a month. Some of it probably has to do with the new address I am moving to in 3weeks, further out of the city. I had Geico for 2 years before Farmers, should have kept them, but I moved and a friend suggested his farmers agent. Never had a problem with them. BTW, Geico asked if they could pull my report for the most accurate rate, I said no. I am not sure if they pulled it, but I know it is not on Experian, so hopefully not the others either. I wonder what rate they give you if they do not pull? Just give you an average credit rating for that purpose? The whole insurance/Credit link is BS.

Also, on our new house my girlfriend got State Farm for the policy, very cheap rate, I do not know if they pulled for her. Probably did.

"NOTICE OF INTENT TO CANCEL INSURANCE DUE TO FRAUDULENT INQUIRY YOU DID ON MY TRANS UNION CREDIT REPORT"

What does pulling a credit report have to do with insurance anyway?

If I do not pay they cancel.

Why not pull a criminal history to see if I am an arsonist.

They say that statistics show that people with lower scores have higher claim rates. Which equals larger risk to the company.

    I say it is BS!!!

I rather it be an intent to sue.
    Then they cancel

I don't recall signing anything giving them permission to pull a report.

    I am paid til October

If I switch insurance companies won't they do the same damn thing?

Well what I read was some info from a guy with FICO, and 3 head insurance guys. I am sure the figures are manipulated, very easy thing to do.
